Jaime Davidson, Gringo Man El
Original.

For the first time on an international level straight from Allenwood, Pennsylvania Federal Prison, the Panamanian
singer,Jaime Davidson, known as Gringo, "The Original," talks about the breach of contract on his royaltypayments. Gringo
is not only about to open up an account for his followers to help him collect 50 thousand dollars for the legal fees of the
attorney that is in search of his freedom, but that he is also in search of an attorney specialized in music royalties in the
United States to lodge a "Multi-Million Dollar Law Suit" against record labels like Sony Discos, J & N Records,
Cutting Records, and Super-Power Records/Shelly's Records.
He said that in 20 years, from all the records sold from his authorship, he has only received from J & N Records and Sony
Discos $1,732.48; and from Cutting Records, a thousand dollars. From the other record labels he has not obtained
anything, taking advantage of his deprivation of freedom and of his mother who is his legal representative. Oh! the
ones who would like to express their solidarity to him can write him at: [email protected]
We will continue to follow the matters pending!

together with Magic Juan they share $.066 of royalty from every record sold.

GRINGO EL ORIGINAL Y GRINGO MAN REPORTAJE ACCESO TOTAL.
(Interview with Jaime Davidson.
¡Clemencia para Gringo!
http://www.midiario.com/history/2011/07/04/escenarios.asp
CLEMENCY FOR GRINGO!
NANDO BOOM DEMANDS AND ASKS THE GOVERNMENT TO INTERVENE IN THE CASE OF THE
PANAMANIAN ARTIST
Nando Boom requests support for Jaime, who awaits for President Martinelli to intervene and asks President Barack Obama and the Attorney General, Eric Holder, to review his case.
One that has placed himself up to date on the situation of the Panamanian Reggaeton Artist Jaime Davidson, artistically known as Gringo "The Original," is the explosive Nando Boom, who is asking for clemency and attention for the artist's case.
Like how you know, behind hit songs like "Guiales, guiales por todos la'os,"
Jaime has been incarcerated in Pennsylvania since around 20 years, for a crime that he assures to have proof of not having committed
An attorney interested in the case is charging him some 50 thousand dollars, for what he has now joined himself to recognized artists from New York, like Coolie Ranx, and from Panama, Japanese, Rudeboy and Gringo Man to do the "remix" of his hit songs.
The revenues that this generates will go into an account for the fees of his defense.
Nando Speaks:
What opinion the situation that the Panamanian artist finds himself in deserves?
"You cannot take on the role of God and punish a human being in that form. If they think that he has done something wrong, even so, 20 years has already passed and I think that that is more than a punishment for a human being. They give a lot of
people reductions of sentences, they give the American artists opportunities and it's not fair that a Hispanic, does not get
it."
Would you upport Jaime in his musical project to collect some funds for his cause?
"I can help him in his musical project with my talent without any problem, but I think that it must be done well organized for it to impact outside of our borders and that all the artists that can come could join and that would like to help from the heart."
What calling would you do to the national authorities and of the United States?
"I would recommend the national authorities to get to know about this case, like how that happened about 20 years and I am sure that they don't remember it. And something that could be done is that Panama, through its Embassy, request for him to be extradited, and that's without knowing a lot about the law.
That has already been done with other artists.
In the case of the United States I am asking for clemency for Gringo and that they review his case."
Any word of spiritual support?
That he believe in Jesus, well man's justice is so imperfect like the earth's laws. The divine law and God's clemency will always prevail.
I would like to say goodbye reminding all of my colleagues to let us unite to support Gringo, 20 years in prison I think that it's a lot and in what we could support him, gladly, with pleasure."
To whoever would like to express their support to Jaime, you can write him at:

I would like to say goodbye reminding all of my colleagues to let us unite to support Gringo, 20 years in prison I think that it's a lot and in what we could support him, gladly, with pleasure."

Japanese performs a prisoner's hit song.
THE PANAMANIAN RAPPER GRINGO, IMPRISONED IN THE UNITED STATES, PREPARES A REMIX TOGETHER WITH FAMOUS ARTISTS.
Martha Vanessa Concepcion
Japanese is hitting in Miami and was on tour in New York. Guiales, guiales [Girls] everywhere...! "Trailer lleno de guiales," the hit song that popularized Jaime Davidson, better known as Gringo The Original, the Panamanian Reggaeton artist that is found imprisoned, according to what he said, "unjustly," in a federal prison in Pennsylvania since almost 20 years, is now being performed by Japanese in New York. That is how he, Jaime confirmed it to "Mi Diario" himself, via telephone, from his prison. He said that Japanese performed his song in various events and received great acceptance. The people even sang the chorus along with him.
"REMIX" IS COMING BETWEEN NEW YORKERS AND PANAMANIANS
In advance he said that they are working on a "Remix" of the hit songs that he made popular in the 80's, a production that will include some twelve songs like, "Donde lo conseguiste" [Where you get it from], "Pasaporte pa' mi canon" [Passport for my gun], and "Menea Pa' arriba/Te vez bien, bien" [Wine and come up/You look hot, hot], in addition to some new songs he has created in prison.
The thing is that his "Remix" will include Jaime's own vocals and of Japanese, Gringo Man and Rudeboy, in Panama. Besides Coolie Ranx, a New Yorker "Reggae" musician of Nigerian father and Jamaican mother, cofounder of a music group called, Pilfers and who gave his voice to Little Jacob in the Video Game, "GRAND THEFT AUTO IV." Together with him there will be other New Yorkers like Rayvan (from the duo with Shaggy, Mr. Boombastic), Screechie Dan and Red Fox; all of them supporting the Panamanian Reggaeton artist in his struggle to express his art and achieve for his case to be reviewed.
"Coolie Ranx is going to go to various major record labels to get a 'deal' so that they could launch the production to the market with new songs that I have that nobody has ever heard," concluded the Panamanian. Whoever wishes to express Jaime their support, you can write him at:

Grabó con Japanese, Rudeboy y Gringo Man

Amarelis Avila, no other than the niece of the Panamanian Rapper, Jaime Davidson, creator of hits like 'Tainiwaini' and known as "Gringo" (detained based on what he says is, "unjustly" from around some 20 years ago in the United States), was the winner of the Pageon "MISS NEW YORK PANAMA," obtaining the right to represent the New York Panamanians in the Capital's Carnaval. That's how he confirmed it to "Mi Diario," Davidson himself via, telephone from the Federal Prison in Pennsylvania, and he assured us that the young girl should be arriving soon on Panamanian soil. He said that he was happy for his niece's success and requested the support from business managers with any-type of allegoric car. "If someone could sponsor a float and her Dress of Tuesdays of Gala for Carnaval. She wish for it to be yellow and gray." Please write me at: [email protected]," he said.
HE RECORDED WITH JAPANESE, RUDEBOY, AND GRINGO MAN
That is not all. Davidson just finished recording the "Remix" of his hit song, "Trailer lleno de guiales," nothing less than in an up to date version together with Rudeboy, Japanese, and Gringo Man. He mentioned that he would like that they would be able to perform the song on any stage of the carnaval and they would allow them to film it live for the video, and that his niece, who has a contract with "The New Pana Association," would give her permission to participate in the filming, projecting the beauties and culture of the country. What's a fact, the song has already been premiered in some of the local radio stations.
SUPPORT!
Like how we had already made mention in advance that Jaime is being accused of the murder of a police officer, but he assures everyone that the police officer was really killed by another police officer. "I would like to ask all of you for your support for you to call the United States Attorney General, Eric Holder,Jr. in whatever language you speak, about the injustice in my case at:

he said. "For them to know that I'm no longer alone in this fight to regain my freedom. Please, tell everybody that reads 'Mi Diario' to follow my case at: www.freejaime.weebly.com and to write me at:

The creator of "Trailer lleno de guiales" and other hits like "Donde lo conseguiste?" and "Tiny Winy," the Panamanian Jaime Davidson known as Gringo, The Original, could be at the verge of achieving the miracle of a revision of his sentence or at least to reach the reopening of his case, that has kept him imprisoned for almost 20 years, "unjustly," according to what he said, in a federal prison in Pennsylvania. Immediately after that "MI DIARIO" recently published his appeal, that even though he's on hold waiting for an answer, Jaime returned to get in contact with this media from his small cell to notify us that he received an interesting offer. "
That I only wanted all of you to hear it from me what happened yesterday," he said.
REQUESTS INTEREST FROM MARTINELLI
Davidson, sentenced to 3 life sentences plus 85 years to end up involved in the murder of a federal officer, reported that this January 7 his "Case Manager," Mr. Feri, came to him and told him to go to his office. "You can ask to see the video tape to prove that Mr. Feri came to call me and I went inside of his office, and I stayed there like 10 to 15 minutes. Mr. Feri read me a paragraph of an email that he told me came from Washington, D.C. The message was to ask me if I was still interested in the Treaty Transfer of Prisoners to their country of citizenship." I told him that yes I was interested in being transferred to my country, but before signing I would like to be sure that if I would do it, I wouldn't be accepting being guilty, not even to block the appeal that I filed. Mr. Feri told him that he would find out about that.
"I would like for the President or Diplomatic Civil Servants of Panama to make that negotiation with United States and that they would advice me, that way I wouldn't come out prejudiced," he requested. Davidson gave thanks to God and reiterated his request for them to call right now to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York and ask for all of the Clerks' Supervisor,
Mr. Roberts Rodriguez, to the telephone (212) 857-8521 and ask about his legal fight (Appeal Number: 10-2175) for them to know that I am no longer alone in this struggle to obtain my freedom

Jaime Davidson, better known as "Gringo, The Original," famous for songs like "Tiny Winy," "?Donde Lo Conseguiste?"
and "Trailer Lleno de Guiales," he just finished filing one more appeal regarding the case that has kept him incarcerated iin a United States Penitentiary for a crime that he says he's innocent of and requests that the President of Panama and his diplomatic team speak out about what qualifies as "An Injustice."
The Rapper Founder of Reggaeton, who studied law in the prison and due to lack of funds is handling his own case. Yesterday he contacted "Mi Diario" from the Penitentiary in Pennsylvania and sent an Open Letter directed to the President Martinelli, his Government, and the Embassies of
Panama and United States. "coming in to the year 2011, I need to get the support of all my people
united; and, most importantly, I need to hear the voice of our Honorable President Martinelli demanding
in a loud voice and publicly to the President of the United States, Honorable Barack Obama; the Secretary
of State, Honorable Hillery Clinton; and to the Attorney General of the United States, Honorable Eric
Holder,Jr. (to the Tel. No. (202) 514-2001), for them to correct the "great injustice against a Panamanian
citizen whose Human Rights have been violated by not notifying the Embassy of Panama and/or the
consulate of his arrest on time. Today it's me, Gringo "The Original," and tomorrow it could be you."
He said that his second appeal was denied and his case closed because of an error in the documents
of a clerk. Actually, the case is, supposedly, in reconsideration for what now more than ever he says that
he needs the support of Panama as a whole. He's being accused of the murder of a police officer, but he
assures us that he was really assassinated by another police officer.

The "gringos" unite for change
Jaime Davidson, Gringo, not long ago via telefone, assured us that Gringo Man is not an Imposter.
Marlene Gonzalez / DIAaDIA Monday, September 27, 2010
Friends, like how all of you know, not long ago we had reported that Omar Pacheco, better known as "Gringo Man," was working on a project to help his friend and colleague, Jaime Davidson, known as "Gringo," the author of songs like "Trailer Load of Girls," "Where You Got It From," amongst others, who is found deprived of his freedom since 1992. Okay, the fact of the matter is that now these two artists are united more than ever for the Foundation, "PRISONERS FOR CHANGE," which is ran by Gringo's leadership in the Federal Prison in Pennsylvania, and with which he tries to help the Latino Prisoners that don't have how to move their legal processes, according to how Pacheco explained it to us.
Last month, "Gringo" appealed his sentence, that he has already served almost 20 years, but the same was denied. For this reason, the Panamanian artist has not allowed himself to be defeated, better yet he has tightened up his seat belt to keep on "Putting Out" songs.
Oh! "Gringo Man" told us that Jaime doesn't give up and in spite of doing everything possible to regain his freedom, he wrote a song for him, which he has titled, "It's not the size of the Rama," a song with very humorous words, which they are sure people are going to like, and that very shortly it will be playing in the radio stations like national and international.
Okay, "Gringo Man" expressed that both of their objectives is to do various "Shows" to collect funds and that way be able to have the resources to pay the legal bills of the artist. He added that this public function is to set the record clear to the people that still continue to say that he's an imposter, that between him and "Gringo" there is a good friendship from years ago, and it's during the difficult moments that you find your true friends.
Mmm!, with who that may be.
Oh!, but don't even think that that will be the only song that you will hear written by "Gringo" and performed by "Gringo Man," not even so, Omar assured us that what is coming down is "strictly" hardcore, what both of them will be working hard to make the change, whereas the name of the foundation even says it,
"PRISONERS FOR CHANGE."

Panamanian rapper calls
Judgement in United States

Panamanian Rapper Appeals Sentence in United States.
Gringo fights against three life sentences.
Jaime Davidson, artistically known like Gringo, who became popular for such hits like
"Trailer Load of Girls," "Tiny Wini" and "Where You Got it From," formally lodged an appeal
on his case from prison in the Supreme Court of the United States. Davidson has been in custody for almost 20 years, sentenced to three life sentences plus 85 years for a crime he assures everyone he never committed.
He was fingered as an accomplice in an incident where Wallie Howard,Jr. resulted dead, an officer of the Police Department of the City of Syracuse,New York, who was undercover investigating a drug case in which one of the sound technicians that used to work with Gringo found himself involved, and precisely on that day Gringo had lent him his car.

The Panamanian artist assures everyone that a conspiracy against him has been launched, because he has forensic evidence showing that the bullet that killed the policeman did not come from the side where his friend was located in the conflict, but on the side of the police themselves.
During all this time in prison, the author of "I'm Coming Hot" (I'm coming is to destroy and nobody now could stop me...!) prepared himself and faced by the lack of money and support for his defense, he himself was responsible for litigating and preparing an issue for appeal that unfortunately was denied this 16 of August of 2010 for having too many pages. "My petition had 63 pages and now I had to reduce it to 40 by the rules of the Supreme Court of the United States that is holding me to the same level as the lawyers themselves, once they saw the professional level of my petition.
I already finished it, but I have to make the new copies and add an affidavit with other new documents," he said.
He concluded by saying that God has helped him to have his case reopened now three times and today he struggles to have at least one day in court to prove his innocence.

Interview with MIDIARO.COM July -19 -2010

Gringo, El Original y Gringo Man se reconcilian
SUBASTARÁ TARJETAS A UN MILLÓN DE DÓLARES subastará TARJETAS

Jaime Davidson is Gringo, The Original, sentenced to three life sentences. He's asking the President of Panama not to abandon him. Gales, Gales from Everywhere / From Panama, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo...! Do you remember hits like: "Trailer Lleno de Guiales," "Donde Lo Conseguiste," "Tiny-Winy" and "Vengo Caliente?" with his: "I am coming is to destroy everything and nobody now could stop me!" Ok, the creator of all these songs, the Panamanian, Jaime Davidson, better known like Gringo, the Original, has been incarcerated for 18 years for causes that are classified as unjust and from a Federal Prison in Pennsylvania he confirmed to "Mi Diario" that he has reconciled
with the Reggaeton Artist, Omar Pacheco, known as Gringo Man, who for many years performed his songs inside and outside of Panama. Pacheco admitted that he performed Jaime's songs while he was incarcerated in the United States in a negotiation arranged by his former managers and even though it's not justifiable, he's determined to compensate Gringo for his mistake and now he's ready to support Jaime in his struggle for the unity of the Panamanian talents and for his freedom.
Jaime explained to "Mi Diario" that he has forgiven Omar and now they have associated each other in a major project to consolidate the success of the Panamanian artists and regain the legacy overseas, stimulate once again their label VP Records from New York. He said that the positive side of it, that Omar had performed his songs is that he kept his legacy alive. "I am proud of that, because he kept my name alive," he said, even
though he admitted that before he didn't see it that way, but that both of them have matured.
INSPIRED SHAKIRA'S HIT SONG
"I want to tell the whole world that when I heard Shakira sing 'My Hips Don't' in the World Cup it gave me goose bumps,
even though the world doesn't know it, I was the Original Founder that introduced the beats to start this genre. I felt
happy to be Panamanian, of being the founder of our culture, I want Shakira to know that that beat was born from the
song, 'Trailer Lleno de Guiales.'"
FROM WHERE THE TERMS GALES,DADDY AND YANKEE CAME FROM?
Jaime also wants it to be known that the introduction in the songs from the terms Gales, they took it from us, the
Panamanians. "We say Gal. I sing, Gales, Gales from everywhere, from Panama, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo! A lot of people don't know that that artist is me. When Don Omar says, "For all the Gals them...!" All that comes from
Panama, form our culture. And they used to call me Gringo, that is synonymous to Yankee, and Papa that is "Papa' and Daddy. From there also came out names like Daddy Yankee and Hector El Father. Moreover, he assures us that, "The beat from Gasolina from Daddy Yankee comes from "Vengo Caliente' that (Gringo) wrote with Tito, El Pregonero in the
studio of the Panamanian in New York, where also Nando Boom and El General recorded.
HOW THE WORD REGGAETON WAS BORN?
Explains Gringo that back then, Vico C and all those artists at that time used to record over "Hip-Hop" beats, until the Panamanians started with their culture. "With all due respect, I want to tell them that the truth is that Mike, El General's manager, told me not to say 'Reggae," to put it like something big and like everything big we put 'on' to it, like cabezon, camison, then, we called it 'Reggaeton,' a big 'Reggae.' Is the plain truth," he said. He explained that he's not trying to offend anyone from prison, not even to start a contradiction with other artists, but except to clear up everything and make a calling to unity, because "The 'Reggaeton' is from latinos for the world to enjoy."
HE WILL BE AUCTIONING OFF POSTCARDS AT A MILLION DOLLARS
He will be Auctioning off POSTCARDS
From inside the prison, Jaime has been a Great Leader, besides that he's a tutor, he teaches Spanish and now he has achieved the creation of some postcards that shows the unity of the federal prisoners that succeeded in posing together for a noble cause that resulted in favor fo the victims from Haiti. "This Poster Board shows the 'Reggaeton' Culture, I want to start auctioning it on 'Ebay' from 25 Thousand to One Million Dollars," Jaime said. He assures us that it's a work of art. "You cannot get another federal
prisoner that could show so much unity inside the prison." It wasn't easy, but he obtained the permission and he achieved it.

Interview Jaime A Davidson on Parle Magazine.
Resolve to Get Justice: Jaime Davidson, Sr.
http://parlemagazine.com/features/entertainment/453-resolve-to-get-justice-jaime-davidson-sr.html
July 30-7-2010
Written by Kyle Jarmon
Editor's Note: A few weeks back I received an email from a man named Jaime A. Davidson explaining that he was of the original founders of the Reggaeton movement and that his story, which begins about twenty years ago, is one that requires immediate attention. Davidson is currently behind bars serving three life sentences for the shooting death of a police officer which he says he can prove and has proved that he is being framed for. I'm in no position to act as a judge of this case, so I decided to give Jaime an opportunity to tell his story. Over a phone interview he explained to my writer how this all started in Brooklyn in the late 80's. My intention was to give a direct transcript of the interview but due to a bad connection the story had to be translated by my writer. Below you'll find the story, of Jaime A. Davidson Sr., read carefully.
His story begins on the streets of Brooklyn. Immersed in the hip hop culture at an early age, Jaime Davidson Sr. set out to craft a different style of music. In the late 80's, he began using a sound system known as BabyQuake. "It was the first sound system with Hip-Hop to be used in the dancehall," says Jaime. Jaime underscores that when he sees what “Reggaeton is now, I say they using my beats. I was the one that paved the way for Reggaeton.”
This different style of music allowed him to produce some hit records such as a Spanish version of Shabba Ranks' hit, "Trailer Load-A-Girls." It was at this time that he became known as "Gringo the Original." "In West Indian culture, we might see John Wayne and call him Johnny Ringo, so I ended up being Gringo. Gringo the Original," Jaime notes.
In October of 1990, a police officer, Wallie Howard Jr., was killed on the streets of Brooklyn. Allegedly, Jaime Davidson Sr. was around the area where the officer was killed and thus a mission and a journey of justice began. According to Jaime Davidson Sr., certain individuals told him that they wanted his music to become more mainstream, not just be present in the Flatbush area and he said, “no." "They told me if you don't help us, we're going to involve you in a case. Two months later, the reality came and they tied me into this case involving the police officer."
In February of 1992, Jaime Davidson was sentenced to three life sentences plus an additional 85 years for the murder of Wallie Howard Jr. Through many attempts, Davidson Sr. stands by his innocence working with a top notch forensic expert to take a look at the case and drafting numerous appeals to the court. This forensic expert also worked on the high profiled case of Princess Diana.
Jaime asserts "when the government realized that I had a cassette tape with the only expert that proved that they assassinated this officer, they put a gag order on this expert so he wouldn't speak anymore." During his third attempt to receive justice, Jaime emphatically states that "it was reversed by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, when she was in the second circuit."
Jaime Davidson, Sr. has established several Internet outlets to attain his freedom such as
www.freejaime.weebly.com
and
www.change.org/profiles/free_jaime.
His brother, who is a sergeant major, recently wrote a letter to the US attorney general about this case and Jaime has also established a petition to get his case heard by the Supreme Court. With potent resolve and fierce determination in his voice, Jaime Davidson, Sr., is demanding that justice be done in his case.

Today, Alexander Davidson or Gringo (The Original) presented his appeal to the Federal Court of the United States, after spending 18 years in prison serving a life sentence.
Davidson,a visionary artist and a native of Rio Abajo 15th Street, dreamed of what is today a reality; in the decades of the 80's and 90's, when latinos only had ears for rhythms like salsa, merengue, and perhaps American Pop, he already used to record songs in the Reggaeton Genre that years
later they became classics.
For those who are not familiar and the fans that are newcomers to this musical tsunami that has flooded the radio stations and clubs worldwide, this name could only be raleted to one of the many pioneers that managed to get a hit song and later they got lost in time.
However, in the case of "Gringo" (The Original), the reality is another one, since for almost twenty years he has lived a horrible nightmare from which he soon awaits to wake-up to take up again his dream and move on with his life, expressing himself through the music that he loves so much.
In 1992, when he was in the United States recording musical materials for his new production, he made the mistake of lending his car to a friend who later on found himself involved in a confusing incident with the police, in which a police officer resulted dead.
During the investigations of this case, by being the owner of the car that was trasporting the alleged murderer, Gringo (The Original) was put on trial, after criminal charges were brought up against him, which he couldn't free himself of; even though his defense argued that in those moments he was not at the scene of the crime like those involved, he was sentenced to life.
Despite of his personal misfortune, Davidson has maintained his head up high, fighting for his freedom, proclaiming his inocence and
preserving his legacy, in which it has been maintained thanks to people like Omar Pacheco, an artist of the genre, and known in the circle like "Gringo Man," that early on in his career they wanted to accuse him of plagiarism for performing the songs that one time Gringo (The Original) turned into a
hit, but the reality is another one, because Davidson and Pacheco are friends and partners.
The first one thanks the second one for keeping his memory alive on the stages.
In a recent telephone interview from the federal prison in Pennsylvania, Davidson asks his fellow countrymen and colleagues to maintain
the unity and show the world that in Panama what we have in excess is talent.
He also requested support for his cause through the new movement "Prisoners For Change," which he founded himself with hopes to
help all the latino prisoners from the abuses of the American Federal System.
Gringo (The Original) is the creator of hit songs like
"Donde lo conseguiste,"
"Menea Para Arriba" y
"Trailer Lleno de guiales."
